By loving and understanding animals perhaps we humans shall come to understand each other.\u201d \u2013 Louis J Camuti <br> <br> \r\n\r\n<b>Poonam Singh\u2019s <\/b> paintings have spiritual leanings inspired by Indian philosophy in her \u2018Conch Series\u2019 that tend to evoke peace and harmony using symbolism that encompasses humanity as a whole. She explores her inner emotions and spirituality using the conch (shell) as symbolic of purity for the environment and that of a divine energy that resonates with the circle of life. <br>\r\n\u201cSculpture is the best comment that a painter can make on painting.\u201d \u2013 Pablo Picasso\r\nHer proficiency and interest lies in creating sculptural forms of humans and animals in clay and terracotta to emphasize  on the organic nature and to connect with earth. In few works, he creates \u2018unbridled movement\u2019 to portray feelings that reflect on the question of time against the rigidity of routine as inspired by Charlie Chaplin\u2019s classic film, \u2018Modern Times\u2019. These series with sweeping lines are creative manifestations of chaos in our times, to include animal and human forms in his compositions. He attempts to portray \u201chope and opportunities in the complex and uncertain modern times\u201d. Partial to the \u201cstrong, energetic\u201d and representing beauty and elegance, the horse, is \u201c a powerful symbol of dynamic movement, the assertion of force\u201d and a fundamental subject related to his work. Conservation Project Management course on Build Heritage Studies and Conservation 2019-20 (A collaborative initiative of MMR Heritage Conservation Society, The Museum, Mumbai &#038; Sir Jamshedjee Jeejeebhoy College of Architecture, Mumbai). <br>\r\nIn 2021 Poonam completed Workshop (Virtual) on Conservation Science, Training and Research, (An initative of Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute of Harward University and the CSMVS Museum, Mumbai) \r\nand also a Certificate Course in WAA 1 (Western Art Appreciation: Ancient-Medieval) followed by Diploma in WAA 2 Renaissance to Post-Modern) in 2022, from Centre for European Studies, Mumbai University\r\nIn 2023 a Certificate course on Temple Architecture  from School of Indian History, Pune. In 2024, an advanced short term course in Painting at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru. <br>\r\n\r\nPoonam Singh has experience as a Curator, Art Promoter &#038; Art Writer. One curation being &#8220;Sculpture Fair 2019 \u2013 \u2018Dimensions Unrestrained\u2019  of India Art Times &#038; India Art House.
