Artist Kapila Nahender believes that one has the power to create and yet to surrender to the creator. Her garden is a sanctuary, a haven to be at peace and dwell in memories of her childhood. As a creative being, it is interesting that some of the flowers seen in full bloom, appear in Abstract forms, in metaphors, creating a pictorial vocabulary. \u201cMy work is an enquiry, an observation on how I react to life as a whole\u201d is what she expresses. <br>\r\n\r\nInspiration comes from multiple references as that of sunlight that illuminates through leaves or flowers in full bloom. Kapila explained, \u201cMy paintings are layered with multi-faceted aspects of life.\u201d The urge to connect with bursts of colour in the midst of greens, compels Nahender to remember her  genetic roots, with her grandfather\u2019s interest as a horticulturist in Lalbagh and her father\u2019s association with Japan. On her visit to the country renowned for Sakura or the Cherry Blossom tree, she was enthralled by the beauty and felt a strength to live life to the fullest. University- Baroda (1998). Seeking broader perspective, she pursued a \u2018Master of Visual Art\u2019 in Printmaking from Chitrakala Parishath in the year 2022. <br>\r\nKapila has been part of many solo and group shows in prestigious art galleries across Bengaluru. Her artistic journey began with a group show at the Venkatappa Art Gallery in 1996 and her first Solo show was at Jalsa Art Gallery in 1998. Later from 2014 to 2024, Kapila exhibited her four Solo shows and participated in twelve group shows, at galleries namely Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Venkatappa Art Gallery, Raintree, 1 Shantiroad Gallery.
